Food offers opportunities for new products, services, and companies. More specifically, the hospitality and gastronomy sectors have great potential in terms of generating new projects. Culinary Action! is the Basque Culinary Center initiative to promote entrepreneurship and the generation of new businesses related to food.
The gastronomy and catering sector has great potential for innovation and new business projects. The Culinary Action! Madrid Workshop aims to promote and disseminate this reality so as to encourage entrepreneurship and spark the establishment of new businesses.
The Basque Culinary Center and HIP assist with the creation, development, and promotion of entrepreneurship in the agri-food and gastronomy sector.
The Basque Culinary Center, a Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences based in San Sebastian, launched the Culinary Action! initiative at the beginning of 2014, with an initial international forum in which entrepreneurs from the food and catering sector presented their experiences in San Sebastián. Apart from the four international events (the fourth will take place in February of 2017) held annually from 2014 to 2017, and since the fall of 2014, Culinary Action! has organized workshops in different Spanish locations (Madrid, with three yearly workshops, Barcelona, with two, Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Malaga, Valencia, Vitoria, Córdoba, Alicante, Santander y Logroño).
