Jorge Lurueña

Jorge began his career in mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch Boston, SBC Warburg and Alpha Corporate. He moved into the hospitality sector in 2002, becoming CEO of Lurca, the second-largest Burger King franchise in Spain, and later founded Grupo Montalur, the country’s largest 100 Montaditos franchise, in 2004. After founding Mapal in 2007, Jorge now focuses on shaping the company’s culture, values and behaviours. He also defines the product vision, global strategy and overall direction of the company, while building and developing a strong team to help achieve these goals.
