Il Paese Ritrovato: The Person at the Center

The ‘Il Paese Ritrovato’ residence for people with dementia was founded in Monza in 2018 with the aim of moving away from a care model centered on institutional care, primarily focused on medical care, to create a care model with a sense of community and active socialization for residents, based on person-centered care (PCC – Kitwood). The work and organization of the residence are structured according to the needs and preferences of the residents in all areas of their lives, taking into account their abilities, identity, and interpersonal skills.
