Digital Gastronomy Startup Forum

HIP 2022 – Horeca Professional Expo is a gathering at IFEMA in Madrid (March, 6th – 8th 2023) dedicated to innovation, digital transformation and emerging trends in the hospitality and food service industries (HORECA) where LABe – Digital Gastronomy Lab, an initiative by Basque Culinary Center will host the Digital Gastronomy Startup Forumby LABe Digital Gastronomy Lab-: a showcase for synergizing and networking with a global, yet specialized, audience, including business leaders, potential partners and investors, and young entrepreneurs.

This forum is looking for disruptive and emerging projects that will impact both the back and front-offices of gastronomy and hospitality in the future: technologies like big data, data analysis, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics and other new equipment, automation, 3D-printing of food and other products, blockchain, mixed reality, etc.

In previous editions were awarded the startup of intelligent management of staff shifts and templates Orquest; the startup of artificial intelligence for the management and monitoring of online reputation Cloud Reputation, which was added to Mapal Sofwtare’s portfolio of solutions; the startup Janby Digital Kitchen, a solution to digitize the Sous-Vide cooking process through the auto-configuration of the elaborations of each cooking cycle through QR scanning and Proppos, a a computer vision company specialized on food recognition with A.I. for checkout solutions for the Foodservice and Retail industries.

  • The deadline to submit project proposals is January 31st, 2023 (23:59 CET).
  • Selected projects will receive notification as of February 6th, 2023.
  • Selected projects will participate in the Digital Gastronomy Startup Forum -by LABe Digital Gastronomy Lab- on March 7th, 2023.
